Mud Terrain Tires

September 26, 2011

The original tires on the Jeep were not the greatest for my needs. Because I intended to drive this vehicle primarily offroad, I opted to purchase some good offroad tires. The selected kind was 31x10.50R15 BFG Mud Terrain KM2.

I had looked at getting the Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs with Kevlar, but when comparing them against the KM2, the performance specs did not top that of the KM2s in virtually all categories. I also ran the KM2s on the Wrangler and really liked the traction they provided on any road condition. Because of this, I opted to be a repeat customer.

This is how the Cherokee looked after I purchased it.

31" tire profile.

Tread of the BFG KM2.

After the new tires were installed the profile was a bit more aggressive.
