Power Performance Increase

August 10, 2015

Life has changed and I now have a trailer where I'm pulling about 2000 pounds. I wanted to squeeze out a bit more power from my 4.0L engine so I decided to put a cold air intake and performance exhaust on.

I already had a K&N air filter on, but using the traditional air intake. This whole box was to be replaced.

The new K&N cold air intake seals against the hood to keep ambient engine heat out of it. Since this addition, I have noticed a bit more throttle response.

A few days later, I had an exhaust shop put a Flowmaster Series 60 muffler on to get more performance and a little deeper sound came with it.

I also got a new tailpipe from the cat-back system along with a new tailpipe hanger - no more rattles!
