The second part of a two week trip continued in Yellowstone National Park. There were loads of bison and elk sightings, but we kept looking for the bears and wolves - we came up empty-handed.

The start of a two-week road trip to various parks was in the Grand Teton National Park. We had a stormy sunset which made for dramatic skies and then a cloudless sunrise.

A few friends and I hiked up to Herman Gulch to have some lunch. There was plenty of snow still in the area which made for some great sledding on the way down the trail!

Autumn is always a nice time of year for colors in Colorado because the mountains are full of Aspen trees. Because of this, my housemate and I went on a three-day backpacking trip to Kebler Pass to view and capture the colors of Autumn.

My friend, Michael, and I headed out to Mount Evans this Saturday morning. This mountain has the highest paved road in the country which ends just above 14k feet. Such beautiful scenery we were greeted with.

Michael and I left the Broomfield, CO area at 3:00am in order to hit the trailhead to Lake Isabelle by 4:00am. We aimed to reach the lake by sunrise (~5:30am) and it was a very empty park at that hour.

A few days a year, Roxborough State Park opens before sunrise so photographers (and anybody else) can come see the park during sunrise. Michael and I headed down there and arrived for their early 5am opening.
