great sand dunes national park - colorado January 22 - 24, 2010 This marks the first winter camping trip I've done and I was excited to go on it, but a bit concerned I wouldn't stay warm enough. Despite the cold temperatures (~6F as a low) it was a trip well-worth it. |

So, instead of staying local in Colorado, my housemate and I spent the weekend at a place that's quickly becoming one of my favorites - Grand Teton National Park. |

yellowstone national park - wyoming July 20-24, 2009 The second part of a two week trip continued in Yellowstone National Park. There were loads of bison and elk sightings, but we kept looking for the bears and wolves - we came up empty-handed. |
