I had stopped through Capitol Reef National Park once before and decided another visit was in order sometime. My wife and I decided to spend the Thanksgiving weekend in the Cathedral Valley part of the park.

Having never been to the Cathedral Valley, I wasn't sure what to expect. I can assure you that I did not expect to see such a beautiful valley floor interrupted by sharp cliff edges. This place was so quiet, my ears were ringing.

This part of Utah always intrigues me with all of the sandstone formations that rise out of the ground in seemingly random locations.
